Sight Glass Gaskets for Tubular & Double Window Sight Glasses

Sight glass gaskets are placed between the gauge glass and the main body of sight glasses to seal the sight glass and prevent media from leakage. Meanwhile, it also mitigates the action of impact force and prevent glass breakage arising from fast moving fluids.

Sight glass gaskets are generally used in tubular sight glasses and double window sight glasses.

According to the working environments of these instruments, sight glass gaskets are divided into non asbestos gaskets, graphite gaskets and PTFE gaskets.

Category

Non asbestos gasket

Non asbestos gasket

It is a kind of general-purpose flat gasket made of reinforced high-grade non-asbestos fibers and bonded with heat-resistant nitrile rubber. It has excellent anti-sticking properties on both sides.

It is suitable for hot water, weak acids, weak bases, inert gases, etc.

Features

  • Impermeability
  • Corrosion-resistant, anti-sticking
  • Compressible and creep resistant
Graphite gasket

Graphite gasket

It is a traditional material used for sealing sight glasses. It is made of pure graphite sheet or metal reinforced graphite sheet after cutting or stamping.

It is suitable for hot water, weak acids, weak bases, inert gases, etc.

Features

  • Corrosion-resistant
  • Good thermal stability
  • Good temperature-resistant, pressure-resistant, oil-resistant, great applicability and air tightness
PTFE gasket

PTFE gasket

It is constructed of 100% pure PTFE material. It has excellent resistant to temperature up to 260 °C and the pressure to 15 MPa under strong acid and base environments.

It is suitable for water, strong acids, strong bases, food grade media, oils, inert gases, etc.

Features

  • Food grade gasket
  • Low fraction properties
  • Good physical stability and great resistant to chemicals and solvents
