Water Liquid Level Gauge Cock for Tubular Level Gauge and Glass Plate Gauge

The gauge cock, also called sight glass valves, boiler sight glass valves, gauge glass valves and level gauge valve, can be divided into three types according to the material.

The brass gauge cock is widely used in water tanks and general industry.
The carbon steel gauge cock is usually applied in filter and sterilization tank or depends on customers’ needs.
And the stainless steel gauge cock is usually used in the fields of sanitary standard or in the acid or alkali environment.

The glass level gauge is equipped with steel balls in the upper and lower valves. When the glass plate is damaged due to an accident, the steel ball will block the passage under the pressure in the container, so that the container is automatically sealed and the liquid in the container can be prevented from continuing to flow out.

GC-01: Gauge cock is installed on containers to control the liquid flow.

Valves for Tubular Liquid Level Gauge:

Specification:

Nominal diameter: DN15, DN20, DN25 or customized.
Valves rated to 300 psi @ 100 °F.
Tubular glass level gauge rating varies with length.
Our standard borosilicate tube has the following ratings for non-steam application:
- 48" (1219 mm) long, 140 psi (965 kPa) @ 150 °F.
- 24" (610 mm) long, 180 psi (1257 kPa) @ 150 °F.
- 12" (305 mm)long, 205 psi (1413 kPa) @ 150 °F.

The connection sizes of level gauge with the vessel:

1/2" (15 mm) BSP or 3/4" (20 mm) BSP.

Borosilicate glass tube: 5/8" (16 mm) O.D..

GC-02: Simple type gauge cock.

Specification:

125 psig @ 350 °F, 300 psig @ 100 °F (Service ratings are subject to pressure/temperature ratings of glass level gauge and glass gaskets).
Standard 1/4" needle drain valve on the lower valve.

Note:

Automatic ball checks standard on 20-150 & 20-151 models but no on 20-104 or 20-105 models.

GC-03: Economical type gauge cock.

Specification:

Sizes 1/2" NPT up to 2" flange.

Note:

Automatic ball checks.
Pressure ratings are subject to the limitation of the liquid level gauge.

Temperature ratings are subject to the limitations of the package.

GC-04: Guarded type gauge cock.

Specification:

Measurement range of dimension (installation center distance L): 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 2000 mm.
Working pressure: ≤ 1.6 MPa.
Working temperature: ≤ 200 °C.
Flange standard: HGJ46-91 PN1.6 DN20 convex side
Grade of vapor pressure: ≤ 0.6 MPa.

Steam jacket connector: G 1/2" external thread screw.

GC-05: Scale mark type gauge cock.

Valves for Glass Plate Liquid Level Gauge:

Specification:

Measurement range of overall dimension (installation center distance L): 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1100, 1400, 1700 mm.
Working pressure: 4.0 MPa.
Nominal pressure: 2.5 MPa, 6.3 MPa.
Working temperature: -20 °C to +200 °C.
The pressure of ball automatically closing: ≥ 0.2 MPa.
Grade of vapor pressure: ≤ 0.6 MPa.

Steam jacket connector: G 1/2" external screw thread.

GC-06: Glass plate type gauge cock.

Features and Advantages

No shake, low noise.

Extensive Application

The level gauge cocks are widely used in food, chemical and petroleum industry. The application of our level gauge valves is as follows:

Used in reservoirs, tanks and general industry fields.
Used in retorts, beverage tanks and high sanitary standards.
Used in acid or alkali environment.

Instruction for Use:

When the upper and lower valves opened, the number of rotations of the valve stem should not be less than 4 turns, so as not to hit the top of the stem when the steel ball is self-sealing.
