Round Gauge Glass for Observing Liquid Flow and Level

Round sight glass, also called round gauge glass and sight glass disc, commonly uses the material of soda-lime glass, borosilicate glass, aluminosilicate glass and quartz glass. We suggest different material according to environmental conditions, such as temperature, pressure, acid and alkali.

Soda-lime glass working temperature is up to 230 °C, but it is the most inexpensive material. Borosilicate glass is particularly used in aggressive environment, such as acid and alkali. The working temperature is up to 400 °C. Aluminosilicate glass can resist acid and alkali better than borosilicate glass and the working temperature can reach 650 °C. Quartz glass is the best material, whose working temperature can reach 1100 °C.

Round gauge glass is commonly used in industry, chemical, petrol and medicine pipes and flanges for observing the liquid flow and liquid level.

Round sight glass can resist high pressure, temperature and aggressive medium.

• Corrosion resistance

  Round sight glass has stable chemical property. It can resist acid and alkali, so that it suits to be applied in industry for long life.

• High working temperature

  Soda-lime glass working temperature is up to 280 °C. Borosilicate glass max working temperature is 350 °C. Quartz glass working temperature is up to 1100 °C. Round sight glass is commonly used in industry boiler or pipes and working environment is very aggressive. So that high working temperature is important for sight glass.

• High working pressure

  The highest working pressure that the round sight glass can stand is 500 bars.

• High light transmittance

  Our round gauge glass has high light transmittance, which can make sure the liquid level or flow clear.

• No pollution to liquid

  The glass will not pollute the water or other liquid even in very high temperature. The round sight glass is sometimes used in water tanks and no pollution is very important.

Package and Delivery

• In order to avoid breaking, reflex gauge glass is packaged in 5 layer corrugated cartons or pallet, with foam or bubble wrap.
